By banning smoking in all public areas, we force smokers to quit, or at least, to smoke less.Even though we all know how many bad consequences smoking causes on our health, many of us still make this unhealthy choice.Every smoker understands how dangerous it is, but they make their personal choice.The Californian Environmental Protection Agency states that, every year, more than 3,400 people die from lung cancer.This statistic considered deaths caused by such a kind of passive smoking.It is a message from the government, and it shows that the government really cares about the health of the citizens.It’s a good way to remind people how important their health is.Smoking ban prevents children from this bad habit, promoting healthy lifestyle, though limiting freedom of smokers.Such a simple approach will not only safe lives of smokers, but also protect people around them.Obviously, banning smoking on the government level is not the best way to fight such a tendency. However, the damage from smoking affects not only smokers, but also people around them.Every time somebody lights up a cigarette, everyone around can smell this smoke, breath it, and so get damaged by it.
